Background

The AtoM Midwest User Group was established in 2018 to help local AtoM users in the Chicago area share experiences.

Purpose of group

The AtoM Midwest Users’ Group provides a friendly and informal forum to discuss AtoM and share experiences, workflows and user studies. It enables members to get feedback on their own work with AtoM and benefit from the experience of other users. It also provides an opportunity for those considering AtoM to obtain information about the software program.

Who is it for?

The group is open to individuals and organizations in the Midwest region of the United States who are actively using, exploring or testing AtoM. We are mostly Chicago-based institutions at present, but welcome other nearby users to join us. We also welcome AtoM service providers, and representatives from other related user communities who are interested in keeping abreast of regional AtoM activities.

Meetings: The Midwest User Group meets quarterly in downtown Chicago at the Claretian Missionaries Archives, 205 West Monroe Street in the "Loop" area, adjacent to all transportation hubs.

Web presence

The group has no web site but has access to an area of the AtoM wiki where summary information about the group is held:
