AtoM has templates for describing archives using ISAD(G), RAD, MODS, Dublin Core and DACS metadata standards. The table below provides a crosswalk between the standards, using ISAD(G) as its basis. It also displays the EAD export for the fields.

XML crosswalk sample files

The following files have been created for testing and local crosswalking. They are XML sample exports from AtoM, where every field in the AtoM content standard templates have been filled out with the corresponding content standard name and rule, and then exported as XML. You can study these files as a way of understanding how the various XML metadata standards and the content-standard based AtoM templates crosswalk in the application. We recommend that you try importing them into a test AtoM instance yourself to see how the file import behaves.

CSV crosswalks

The AtoM CSV templates include sample data from the related content standards that can be used for crosswalking and test imports. For more information, see:

Legacy crosswalks

Previously, full AtoM crosswalks were maintained on earlier versions of the AtoM wiki. The most recent of these has been copied to this wiki for reference.
