Full Professor (Information Science Institute – ICI, and Information Science Graduate Program – PPGCI, from Federal University of Bahia – UFBA). Doctor in Information Science by IBICT, in partnership with the School of Communication from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ, 2002). Master degree in Visual Arts by the School of Fine Arts from UFRJ, 1994). Bachelor's degree in History (by Santa Úrsula University (USU-RJ, 1989). Leader of the Research Group on Digital Culture, Representation and Information (CRIDI, 2005). In ICI-UFBA I held de positions of Coordinator of the Undergraduate Degree in Archival Science (2005-2009), Vice-director (2007-2010), Director (2010-2014) and President of the Congregation (2010-2014); in UFBA, Member of the Board of Directors of the Libraries University System (2012-2014), University Council (2010-2014), Affirmative Actions and Student Assistance Committee (2010-2014), Academic Affairs Committee (2010-2014), UFBA Committee of Scientific Integrity (2011-2015), and Policy Management Group of the UFBA Institutional Repository (2011-2015). I acted also as a member of the National Council on Archives (2005-2009), in which acts currently as a member of its Technical Chamber of Human Resources Training (since 2011) and of its Technical Chamber of Audiovisual, Iconographic, Sound, and Musical Documents (since 2016). I am subscribed to associated Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIST, since 2000); International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA, since 2013); Brazilian Association for Research in Information Science (ANCIB, since 2000); Brazilian Association for Information Professionals (ABRAINFO, since 2013); Brazilian Association for Audiovisual Preservation (ABPA, since 2014); and Association of Archivists of Bahia (AABA, since 2005).
