I am a specialist in Computer Science, AI, and the digital heritage. I was the project leader / manager for the project to create the South African National Policy on Digitisation. I have been teaching digitisation for the past 6 years, based on my own digital heritage framework model and have also presented at many conferences on the digital heritage, with the latest being Friday 11 May 2018 at the University of the Witwatersrand on the topic of institutional capacity development for digitisation.

I have been actively engaged with museum and archival collection management systems for the past 15 years, and have developed a generic model for collection management, which used layered metadata models as part of the universal data model for heritage documentation which I have developed.
